The adjective relating to the shoulder blade is scapular, which as a noun in ecclesiastial contexts refers to a short cloak covering the shoulders. Several medical terms refer to the shoulder blade plus another part of the body: scapulohumeral, the shoulder blade and the humerus, the bone of the upper arm; scapulocoracoid, the shoulder blade and the coracoid, the projection from the shoulder blade to which part of the biceps is attached. Scapulimancy (sometimes scapulomancy) (Greek manteia, divination) is divination from the cracks in a burned animal shoulder blade.
