The adjective femoral refers to the thigh bone or femur. The femoropopliteal artery runs down the thigh and behind the knee; the adjective femorotibial relates both to the thigh and the leg below the knee (the tibia being one of the two bones of the lower leg). The last two terms are also seen hyphenated.
