An abnormal condition of the sense of smell.

The most common term in a specialist medical set is anosmia, the loss of the sense of smell, either total or partial; others are hyposmia (Greek hupo, under), a condition in which the sense of smell is abnormally weak; dysosmia (Greek dus‑, bad or difficult), an impairment of the sense of smell; and parosmia (Greek para, beside), any disorder of the sense of smell.
