-san
Japanese honorific.
[Japanese -sama, denoting respect.]
This is the usual respectful marker in Japanese, equivalent to English Mr, Mrs, or Miss, which occasionally appears attached to Japanese names in English; it is used after both names and titles. Examples are mama-san, Suzuki-san, and samurai-san.
