-melia
An abnormal condition of a limb.
[Greek melos, limb]
The ending appears in a few terms, including phocomelia (Greek phōkē, seal), a rare congenital deformity in which the limbs are underdeveloped or absent, and amelia (Greek a-, without), absence of arms or legs. Ectromelia (Greek ektrōsis, miscarriage) and meromelia (Greek meros, part) are more general term for such conditions.
