An ideology is a system of ideas and ideals; an ideogram is a character that represents the idea of a thing without indicating the sounds used to say it (examples are numerals and Chinese characters); in medicine the adjective ideomotor relates to involuntary movements caused by an idea. This form is easily confused with idio-.
