Floristics is the branch of geography that studies the vegetation of an area; florescence is the process of flowering; a floret is one of the small flowers making up a composite flower head; floriculture, on the model of horticulture, is the cultivation of flowers; a floribunda (Latin floribundus, freely flowering) is a type of rose which bears dense clusters of flowers; floriferous means producing many flowers.
