A bibliography (Greek -graphia, writing) is a list of the books referred to in a scholarly work; a bibliophile (Greek philos, loving) is a person who collects or has a great love of books, while bibliomania is a passionate enthusiasm for collecting and possessing books; bibliometrics is the statistical analysis of books, articles, or other publications; bibliomancy (Greek manteia, divination) is the practice of foretelling the future by interpreting a randomly chosen passage from a book, especially the Bible.
